Undergraduate and Beisa3, BIORENA and teachers of the Faculty of Agronomy of the UNIVERSIDAD MAYOR REAL Y PONTIFICIA DE SAN FRANCISCO XAVIER DE CHUQUISACA, participated in the training workshop in entomology. Was conducted in the department of Sucre from 19 to 21 September.
Was conducted teaching management protocol BIA (database for agricultural insects: Base de datos para insectos agricolas), morphology and anatomy of insects and phylogeny of Insecta.
They learned to use dichotomous keys for the identification of Insecta orders, families and gender. The order of importance were Orthoptera, Dermaptera, Thysanura, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera and Diptera.
The fixing solution preparation is very important for the storage of entomological samples and then assembled. As well as the equipment necessary to prepare dry samples insects like. These techniques are prepared participants through PCI protocol (Preparation and Preservation of Insects: Preparacion y conservacion de Insectos). And for future curators were taught CODE Protocol (Designation Codes for entomological samples: Designación de Códigos para Muestras Entomológicas) for handling scientific collections.
